A lively alphabet adventure begins a lifetime word journey! A purple dinosaur displays questions and answers that help preschoolers and kindergartners learn the alphabet and letter-picture and letter-sound associations through three levels of play. First, match an uppercase letter to a lowercase letter. If you see a question mark, listen carefully and then choose the correct answer in one of the three small windows. Next, match a letter to a picture whose beginning sound starts with that letter. Finally, do mixed questions! Taking a while to answer? The dinosaur will wake up and talk: “Did you know dinosaurs lay eggs?” “It gets kind of boring when your friends are extinct.” Answer 5 questions and earn a lively, prehistoric critter animation reward. Audio praise, including “You know your letters” and “Dino-riffic!” increase motivation. Corrective feedback such as “A slip of the finger,” gently re-directs little learners.
